Seattle history in rooms. Every claim on every panel carries a source you can open and check, and every panel says whether we have actually read that source or only found it.

This sits alongside the parcel map deliberately. The tool tells you what can be built on a lot today; the museum is about how the lot came to have those lines around it.

Seattle counts its beginning from a rainy morning in November 1851, when twenty-two people came ashore at Alki Point. This room is about what the count leaves out.
